What people are saying about "Navigating Life’s Final Journey"...
"Patricia O'Connor recently provided a brilliant, informative, and poignant presentation of her life work at the Masonicare Ashlar Village Continuing Care Community where my wife and I live. The auditorium was overflowing with residents and staff who were fascinated as she presented material from her recent book, Navigating Life's Final Journey: Conversations, Choices, Resources. She spoke for over an hour and then comprehensively answered many questions and listened to comments as well. Ms. O'Connor obviously is dedicating her life work to helping people know about how they can best and most humanely face and resolve some of life's most difficult challenges as death nears and arrives.
I could not be more impressed after the talk, but became even more impressed and convinced when I read her book. I recommend the book to anyone and everyone since we all face those moments in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. And, if possible, I also recommend that everyone look for the opportunity to meet and speak with Ms. O'Connor. Her energy, enthusiasm, compassion, and knowledge are valuable assets to be mined and understood in making life's final choices."
"Thank you! Thank you!!!
. . . for your inspirational presentation yesterday, Patricia. Everyone seemed to inhale your passionate messages and also seemed to leave wanting more. Please fill me in on additional options, besides a 3-day retreat, that we might ponder in the future. Perhaps a one-day workshop, etc??
I began your book last eve and love how straight- forward and wise you present options and ask questions. You have provided much insight into taking death out of the closet and into the light of discussion (pardon the pun!). And so much commonsense, once we hear it.
I'm sending one to my sister, age 80, whose son, 47, refuses to discuss or accompany her to anything hinting of death and she's anxious about her desires being heard and honored. I hope it will help them begin their much needed conversation.
Thank you, again. It was a pleasure meeting you, Patricia.
Have a wonderful holiday season!!
"This retreat was wonderful. I’m so grateful for your candor and honesty, and I thank you for the words in order to have even deeper conversations with my Mom about her choices. I’m so thankful for you. There are no coincidences and this retreat was presented to me at the right place and at the right time. Thank you."
